Singing Tree Concerts at The Rocks

Have you ever heard a tree sing?
Sponsored by Delta Air Lines, The Seaport Singing Trees will sing in concert weekly. On Sundays from 12:00pm-2:00pm experience the Singing Trees Powered by PlantWave come to life in a performance unlike any other. Listen as the biorhythms of several Sugar Maples – and a few Sassafras backup singers – are translated in to music.

This audio installation at The Rocks at Harbor Way, created in partnership with PlantWave, transforms ordinary trees into master musicians. Using carefully placed electrodes, PlantWave measures the electrical variations of leaves and translates that data into sound. The Singing Trees come to life at The Rocks at Harbor Way through four distinct listening pockets situated around the park.

Delta Air Lines believes you shouldn’t have to choose between seeing the world and saving it, which is why it committed to being carbon neutral since March 2020 while taking steps to create a future of zero impact aviation.

As part of Seaport’s Singing Trees program, Delta has made a charitable contribution to Speak for the Trees Boston, a non-profit organization whose mission is to increase the size and health of Boston’s urban forest, especially in underserved and under-canopied neighborhoods.

Delta’s donation provides critical funds to support Speak for the Trees Teen Urban Tree Corps program, further enabling their group to engage underserved teens around the city and foster their love of trees! To learn more about Speak for the Trees Boston, sign up for their newsletter.
