This election is for the dogs.

Dogs are a beloved part of the Seaport Community. You can find them on long walks in the neighborhood, visiting one of the dogs parks, shopping at Polka Dog or Bond Vet, and attending one of the many dog friendly events ranging from The Holiday Market at Snowport to Cisco Brewers.

On Friday, November 1st, Aspen, Bennett, Lady, Macie, and Rhubarb were elected as the Seaport Dog Mayors.

The incredible enthusiasm for all the candidates led to a surge of votes on the last day, causing the platform to shut down early. There were also some suspicious votes that made final verification challenging. The true spirit of this election is about celebrating our beloved dogs and bringing everyone together, so all five candidates who have captured hearts will be honored.

Aspen

Aspen is all about kindness, love, and community - and he’s here to make Seaport an even brighter place! He and his mom are dedicated to raising funds for the Boston Children’s Hospital toy drive and donating to animal shelters. Aspen believes that spreading kindness is the key to happiness and wants everyone to do one nice thing for a neighbor every day. Plus, who wouldn’t want a Mayor who greets you with a hug and a wagging tail?

Bennett truly embodies what Seaport is all about: community, connection, and spreading joy! He’s the pup that everyone knows, from shop owners to his fellow four-legged pals in the park. Bennett’s friendly nature and endless enthusiasm for life make him the perfect ambassador for Seaport, bringing people together one wag at a time.

Born and raised in Seaport, Lady knows this community inside and out. She’s dedicated to making sure every dog and human in Seaport has the same pawsitive experience she’s had. From keeping parks clean to ensuring there are plenty of dog-friendly spaces, Lady has her paw on the pulse of what makes Seaport the best place to be. As a daily visitor to the Sea Green Dog Run, she’s got the local doggo scene covered and will make sure Seaport remains a happy, healthy, and social place for all pups!

Plus, with her leash-carrying skills and that irresistible smile, she’s sure to win hearts and make Seaport an even brighter place!

From bargain bin to mayoral win, Rhu knows how to turn a tail-wagging underdog story into a victory lap.
