Boston Children’s Museum: Paper Orchestra Concert with Josiah Quincy Orchestra
After intensive research into four instruments of the string family, the kindergartners of the Josiah Quincy School build their own orchestra. Students construct their own practice violins, violas, cellos and basses and learn about instrument position and orchestral etiquette. The paper orchestra concert is a presentation of these new skills as well as an important rite of passage, after which all students will graduate to real instruments!
