Join Friends of the Boston Harborwalk’s Laurie Zapalac, on Saturday, November 2 at 10:00am for a two-hour walking tour and conversation about the communities and companies who have helped shape Boston’s commercial seafood industry—from its early days at T-Wharf to the opening of the Boston Fish Pier in 1914, to the ongoing expansion of commercial seafood processing facilities and infrastructure along the South Boston Waterfront.

Explore how seafood companies along the Boston Harbor have evolved over time and examine how they are working to be more resilient and innovative in the face of climate change and evolving consumer interests in seafood.

Special guests include Jared Auerbach, owner of Red’s Best, and Andrew Chief Development Officer of MassPort, the Massachusetts Port Authority, and other members of the Boston commercial seafood community.

The meet up point will be at Boxes at the Boston Fish Pier, at the entrance to the pier along Seaport Blvd.

The tour will be limited to 30 sign ups. A $10 donation is suggested.
