Frequently Asked Questions
Are there longer hours during winter break?
From February 16th to 23rd, Snowport will have extended hours. Monday through Thursday we will be open from 11:00am-9:00pm. Friday and Saturday we will be open 11:00am-10:00pm. Sundays we will be open 11:00am-8:00pm.
Can I reserve a curling lane?
Curling lanes are free of charge, courtesy of Seaport and Fjällräven. They can be reserved on our online booking platform here. One curling lane is available for reservations at all times while the other has times blocked off to allow for open curl.
Can I rent skates?
You sure can. The cost to rent skates is $5 per pair.
Can I bring skates?
Absolutely. When you bring your own skates to Snowport, you’ll just pay our ice-rink admission rate. That cost is $5 for adults, and $3 for children between the ages of 4 and 12.
Is there a charge to skate on the ice?
The cost to skate is $5 for adults, and $3 for children between the ages of 4 and 12. Children under the age of 4, active military members, and Veterans are welcomed to skate for free at Snowport.
Can I bring anything on to the ice with me?
Please note that only guests wearing ice skates are allowed on the ice. To help with crowding (and your balance!) we request that all bags, backpacks, purses, and other personal items are not brought on to the ice. There are lockers available at the rink to assist with this.
Are there lockers?
Yes, we have lockers available on the skate deck overlooking the rink. Use of these lockers is first come, first serve. We recommend that you bring a lock, but we also have a select number of locks available for purchase for $5. We unfortunately cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items, so ask that you take care to secure your belongings with another member of your party or in one of our lockers whenever you are on the ice and unable to have the items on your person.
Are there restrooms available at Snowport?
Bathrooms are located adjacent to the rink, across the deck from the skate pavilion.
What do you suggest if I am just learning to skate?
While we do not presently offer skating lessons, we do have a limited number of skate aids available to rent. The skate desk will be able to assist with use of these items.
What is there to enjoy at Snowport besides ice skating?
There’s so much to Snowport (!) In early December we will have our ice rink open, our curling lanes will be available, and and we will be offering additional games and activities. In mid-December we will be opening the second part of our Winter Village, which will include food and beverage options and a larger warming tent for gathering with friends and coworkers. The Seaport Ambassadors will always be on site near the rink to offer information about daily programs.
