Co-founders Alexa Buckley and Sarah Pierson met in Fall 2010 during their Freshman year at Harvard, where they became fast friends and eventually roommates. During summers spent working in consulting and finance, they were all too familiar with the under-the-desk shoe shuffle that so many women must do every day, multiple times a day. They were convinced that there should – and could – be a shoe that combined form and function to carry women effortlessly throughout the day; a shoe that makes you feel dressed and beautiful all day long. From there, the duo set out to create that wear-everywhere staple, beginning with the perfect ballet flat that could take them every place they wanted to go with confidence and chic.
