Okuda San Miguel | Mythology: Being 2
Okuda recalls our rich history of mythology by creating a fantastical creature linked to Air, Sea and Land (the title of the 7-piece installation). The sculpture presents mankind’s bond to the animal kingdom in a similar visual form that early civilizations across the world employed. From Ancient Egypt to contemporary Boston, artists have fused animal heads to human torso’s as a deep reminder of our mutual dependence between man and beast.
